Kona Brothers began roasting coffee in 1985 on the Big Island of Hawaii with an original 1910 A.J. Deer (Royal Number Five), and ownership of the only mobile coffee roaster in Hawaii made Kona Brothers coffee very popular. When the New Kona International Market offered a prime corner-location, Kona Brothers parked the wagon, and opened up a permanent roasting facility.
In 2010, a new chapter in Kona Brothers Coffee began, with a change in ownership. Jed Kleppen is now carrying on the Kona Brothers’ name and their rich tradition of providing the best fresh-roasted coffee in Kona. Kona Brothers Coffee is a full-service coffee house and roasting outlet, offering only 100% Kona coffee. We love to “roast-to-order”, and we have a growing number of services including private-label sales, and custom-blending.
